The robotic camp or cybernetic summer workshop, Campo Arduino, will once again be held at the Department of Cybernetics of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň (Pilsen), Czech Republic, during the summer holidays in the second half of August.
Our goal can best be explained with a paraphrase of the famous Czech educator John Amos Comenius: „Cybernetics through play“ (originally „School through Play“). Throughout the workshop, participants will „play“ with simple robots based on the Arduino platform.
The primary target group consists of secondary school students and older primary school students (ages 11-19). However, participation is open to everyone—parents or grandparents of children are welcome to join, and technology enthusiasts can participate with their own components and, for example, receive assistance in building their own robots.
We believe we can show participants that cybernetics is fun!
The working language of the workshop is Czech, as it is primarily intended for children and youth from the city and surrounding areas. However, since our team is accustomed to participating in international conferences, foreign (English-speaking) participants are not excluded.
